Yes, you heard it right. Right now (Feb 23, 2025), Joann Fabric and Crafts is officially closing over 500 stores. There is a court case going on for bankruptcy for the company. The company WILL be sold to a buyer. As of today, it looks like all stores will end up liquidated, but that announcement still has not been made.

Whether or not they are completely closing doesn’t really pertain to why you cannot make purchases on their website. The problem is that they actually fill most of their orders these days with product from many stores that are now closing. So, since they are closing so many stores, they have had to remove the option to buy online. Your best bet to buy from them is to find a physical location right now.

The next court date for the Joann Fabrics is scheduled for February 26th. So, let’s see if they make any more announcements on that date!
